Our tennis pro, Steve Etchells has accepted a year-round tennis directorship elsewhere. Certainly he will be missed and we wish him well.
We are fortunate that Hannah Thompson, also trained and nurtured within the Cliff Drysdale Tennis organization, will be assuming the role and responsibilities of Arrowhead at Vail Tennis Professional and Director.
Hannah began her playing career as a Junior player in England, becoming nationally ranked and top 5 in her county. Her achievements brought her to the USA on a full tennis scholarship to play for Brenau University in Georgia. Hannah enjoyed great success with her team, playing number 1 doubles and number 3 singles reaching the national championship finals all four years.
After graduating she joined the university coaching staff before moving on to Pennsylvania’s camp Towanda to teach as one of the camps Tennis Specialists. Hannah has been teaching tennis since she was 16 and has a huge passion for teaching all ages and abilities, and growing the game of tennis as a whole. Hannah has been with Cliff Drysdale Tennis for over two years teaching at three different clubs before becoming the Director of Tennis at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys. Hannah is super excited to take over the Directorship in Colorado for the summer. Hannah is also looking for any willing instructors to teach her how to ski!
Hannah is expected to arrive in Arrowhead during the third week of May. She is eager to meet, and work with, her soon to be new friends.
